Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LCMS)
LCMS combines the physical separation technique of liquid chromatography (or HPLC) with the mass analysis technique of mass spectrometry (MS) as a detector. In MS, the compounds that elute off the column during LC are converted to the gas phase, ionized and analyzed with the MS. This power technique offers high sensitivity and selectivity to identify and quantify multiple analytes simultaneously. Except for compound identification, we use LCMS in our in vitro ADME assays, as wells as bioanalysis of pharmacokinetic studies.
