Disease Modeling
Disease Models
Animal models are critical in the selection and development of novel therapeutics. Studies evaluating exposure, tolerability, dose-exposure linearity, bioavailability, and efficacy in a sentinel screening model are often used when selecting a lead clinical candidate. Further insight into the therapeutic potential of a compound can be gained through scheduling and combination studies and the exploration of additional disease models. The likelihood of clinical success can be increased through an early understanding of the mechanism of action, PK-PD relationship, metabolism, toxicology and the development of biomarkers and a translational path.
The GD3 team of model development and execution experts has worked on diverse models spanning oncology, inflammation and autoimmunity, metabolism, obesity and diabetes, behavioral and other disease areas. With our broad skill set, we can implement novel models tailored to your program's needs. We've worked with many routes of administration and a wide variety of test agents.
Your Success Is Our Priority. Maintaining high-quality standards while meeting deadlines is as important to GD3 as it is to you. We work with our clients to define all of the critical steps for project optimization and success:
- Define project scope
- Assign subject matter expert Ph.D. level Study Manager to oversee project and study progress communication
- Issue status reports for each milestone
- Provide a final study report, which includes complete statistical analysis and data interpretation at project completion
